ROGER C. HOLSTEIN JOINS VESTAR CAPITAL PARTNERS AS SENIOR ADVISOR
New York, NY— October 4, 2006 – Vestar Capital Partners, a leading private equity firm, announced today that it has appointed Roger C. Holstein a Senior Advisor to the firm. Mr. Holstein was formerly Chief Executive Officer and a Director of WebMD Corporation, where he successfully established WebMD Health as America’s leading source of health information for consumers and healthcare professionals. In his capacity as Senior Advisor, Mr. Holstein will bring his skill sets to investment opportunities in the internet, media, consumer and healthcare products and services markets.
Mr. Holstein brings more than 30 years of management experience in paradigm transforming businesses on the Internet, in Healthcare Services, in Media and Advertising, and Telecommunications. Mr. Holstein brings particular expertise to business transformation through marketing leadership, product innovation, leading edge distribution, and business acquisition and integration.

Holstein, 53, has played a key role in paradigm transforming businesses for more than 30 years. For the last eight years, Mr. Holstein was CEO, President, and/or Director of WebMD Corporation, or predecessor companies. During his tenure, Mr. Holstein established the WebMD brand as the leading brand of health information for both consumers and physicians. Prior to that, Mr. Holstein was a Member of the Office of the President of Medco, the nation’s leading prescription benefit management firm. Since graduating from Swarthmore College in 1974, Mr. Holstein also held senior management positions at MCI Corporation, Warner Communications and Grey Advertising. Mr. Holstein began his career with the Spirits of St. Louis professional basketball team.
